The high-performance Canon EOS R7 is an advanced APS-C camera that features a 15 FPS mechanical shutter. It offers the greatest degree of adaptability for taking pictures and videos of quick action, wildlife, and everything in between thanks to its high-speed shooting 32.5 MP sensor, in-body stabilization up to 7 stops with synchronized control IS1, and 4K60p video. The ideal all-purpose camera for serious pros and knowledgeable amateurs.
32.5MP APS-C CMOS Sensor and DIGIC X Processing
The 32.5MP APS-C CMOS sensor is a versatile chip ideal for both photo and video applications because it successfully balances resolution, speed, and low-light performance. The R7 is one of the first APS-C sensors in the EOS R series, and its high-resolution design benefits both photographers and 4K video by offering a 7K area for oversampling footage, which results in better sharpness and quality. The Canon EOS R7 has a DIGIC X image processor that it borrowed from the R3 to execute a number of high-speed activities, including rapid continuous shooting and high-resolution video recording. The Canon EOS R7 Mirrorless Digital Camera can shoot continuously at up to 30 frames per second (fps) using a silent electronic shutter or at 15 fps using a mechanical shutter, with AF and AE readings taken before each frame. A wide sensitivity range of ISO 100-32000, which can be increased to ISO 51200 for use in challenging lighting circumstances, is also made possible by the CPU.
Autofocus and Image Stabilization
Easily and accurately capture photographs of moving objects. Every pixel on the image sensor is used by Canon’s very responsive Dual Pixel CMOS AF technology to determine focus, and it covers up to 651 zones that are roughly 100% wide and 100% tall. The IBIS (In-Body Stabilization System) on the Canon EOS R7 offers coordinated control IS and up to 7 stops of shake correction. This may completely alter handheld videography and low-light photography.
2.36m-Dot EVF and Vari-Angle Touchscreen LCD
For high-resolution eye-level viewing, a 2.36 million dot OLED electronic viewfinder is included. A speedy 120 fps refresh rate can be used for vivid, realistic motion representation with this 1.15x-magnification finder, which benefits from the fast processing for almost no latency. A 3.0″ vari-angle LCD is also available in addition to the EVF and offers working high, low, and front-facing angles. A touchscreen interface and the crisp 1.62m-dot resolution enable vivid playback and live view monitoring, complementing the flexible position.
Dual Storage Card Slots and Wireless Connectivity
The Canon EOS R7 has two card slots for UHS-II SD memory cards, making use of its small design. Both slots support internal recording of 4K 60p movies as well as burst shooting of approximately 20MP still images at rates of up to 20 fps. Both 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are available for quick file transfers to mobile devices via the Canon Camera Connect app. Bluetooth also enables persistent device connection.
Next-Generation Multi-Function Shoe
The Canon EOS R7 Mirrorless Digital Camera features a multi-function shoe is an improvement over a traditional hot shoe that adds a row of pins to the front of the design to allow for broader accessory functionality and to supply power to some accessory types that often rely on separate batteries. For compatibility with older shoe-mounted attachments, this revised shoe is also compatible with the AD-E1 Multi-Function Shoe Adapter, the ST-E10 Speedlite Transmitter, the DM-E1D Stereo Microphone, and the AD-P1 Smartphone Link Adapter.
