The Rode M1 is a portable cardioid dynamic microphone designed for accurate reproduction of voices, speech, guitars, and drums in concert halls, houses of worship, and on stage. Its dynamic element employs a neodymium magnet for strong output without requiring excessive preamp gain and has a frequency response of 75 Hz to 18 kHz. With a little hump at 200 Hz and a moderate increase from 4 to 10 kHz, the resulting tone is smooth and distinct. The cardioid polar pattern excels in rejecting sound at its off-axis spots, resulting in improved feedback immunity. The balanced, low-impedance output and minimal handling noise maintain signal integrity, while the all-metal design is sturdy enough for touring. The gold-plated XLR 3-pin output of the M1 assures strong conductivity and compatibility with the majority of microphone preamps. It comes with a microphone clip as well as a padded zip pouch.
