It’s the perfect creative instrument to capture a cinematic vision wherever you are thanks to greater mobility for simple solo shooting and professional operability. High sensitivity and a broad dynamic range are provided for Full-frame performance. It has a BIONZ XR high-performance image processing engine. It offers 4K (QFHD) 120 fps high frame rate recording. S-Cinetone and Cinematic Color Science are built into the camera. It provides improved mobility for lone operation.

Sony Alpha FX3’s default look for cinematic expression is the S-Cinetone color, which was created for Sony’s famed FX9. Its genuine skin tones and rich color match other Cinema Line cameras without grading, making it exactly suited to satisfy the needs of today’s content producers.

The high-precision AF and high-speed readout capabilities of the Sony Alpha FX3 allow for the acquisition of detailed 4K imagery even at high frame rates. You have complete control over the shooting frame rate using the Slow and Quick (S&Q) mode, allowing for stunning motion sequences at up to 5x slow motion (with 24p output).

S-Gamut3.Cine and S-Log3 gamma curves make it possible to shoot with high-quality color reproduction over a wide dynamic range, and they also make it simple to match footage with pictures from Sony Alpha FX3 Cinema Line cameras during post-production. Additionally, an HLG (Hybrid Log-Gamma) HDR picture profile allows for direct HDR (HLG) playback on compatible TVs without any additional post-production.

While XAVC HS 4K, XAVC S 4K, XAVC S-I 4K, and proxy files are simultaneously captured in-camera, 16-bit RAW output is available over HDMI connection to suitable external recorders for demanding post-production workflows. RAW video output exceeds DCI-4K resolution at 4264 x 2408 [16:9] resolution.

The Sony Alpha FX3 has five AF Subject Shift Sensitivity settings that let the user choose how readily AF will switch or stay with the locked-on subject. It also has seven settings for AF Transition Speed, which makes it simple to generate rack focus. By just touching the LCD monitor, you can easily choose the topic you want to concentrate on.

Sony Alpha FX3 Cinema Line Full-frame An optical in-body 5-axis picture stabilization feature on the camera offers greater stabilization for filming. The gyroscope sensor precisely detects camera shake and makes an optical adjustment to maintain image quality. This enables stable footage to be captured even when shooting hand-held without a gimbal, while moving, and at 4K resolution.

When Sony Alpha FX3 is mounted on gimbals, the side-opening 3.0-type (1.44 million-dot) LCD touch-screen panel allows for flexible placement and enhanced visibility. Additionally, touch-panel capability offers simple menu navigation for many camera settings.

The high bit-rate recording capabilities of CFexpress Type A cards are designed to meet the needs of next-generation filmmaking. The camera has two identical media slots that allow for relay or backup shooting. The slots are ready for CFexpress Type A cards as well as regular SDXC UHS-I and UHS-II cards.
